Scheduling Social Media
If you have read my other articles you will know that I am a great advocate of engaging with others on social media, especially other businesses. It's great for building relationships and trust around what it is that you can offer. Sometimes you just don't have the time to do that and it's as much as you can to go online and post something to ensure others see that you are still alive and kicking!
Make your social media efforts easier.
Did you know that you can schedule posts? If you are coming up to a busy time in your business calendar or are going on a break and you want to continue having a social media presence then being able to schedule becomes invaluable. You can use a social media platforms' own scheduling tool and for many this is enough, but there are third party applications out there that provide an easy way to schedule your social media posts across multiple social media accounts from one single dashboard.
But which third party application is best?
There are many platforms such as Social Sprout, Tweetdeck and Hootsuite to name just a few. Each has positives and negatives; and each has their own pricing structure. At the end of the day I suggest that you do your research and definitely check out their free version, testing rigorously before purchasing any pro version. What suits others, may not suit your business needs and budget.
I have always liked, and will continue using the native platforms to view posts and to ensure engagement is made with other accounts. Because I train people to use these platforms it is imperative that I keep up to date with their platform changes. But for scheduling I have for the last three years been using Hootsuite, I really liked their bulk scheduling option which allowed me to upload a CSV file of my hints and tips, which I scheduled over the duration of the month.

I was reluctant to use the platform until a bulk up-loader was introduced. Da Dah! I have now used this new module and it ticks all the boxes. There is a lovely drag and drop feature when adding images or CSV files.
