  • We Install a firewall and virus-checking on the laptop used.
  • The operating system is set up to receive automatic updates.
  • We downloading the latest patches or security updates, which should cover vulnerabilities.
  • Only Tracey has access to the information needed to do her job and doesn't share passwords.
  • Take regular back-ups of the information on your computer system and keep them in a separate place (external hard drive) and also back ups are stored in the icloud.
To protect paper stored data
  • Data is stored in client files for office use or taken onsite where the job requires
  • When the contract time finishes the data files are destroyed by shredding them

  • We use the E-newsletter third party provider Mailchimp. There's opportunities to register for our newsletter on this website. We send a newsletter bi-monthly (if that) We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help monitor and improve our newsletters.
  • We use organic social media platforms and on occassion third party platforms such as Hootsuite, Tweetdeck or Social Scheduler. Any private messages are stored on those platforms then archived. 
  • Any email sent to us, including any attachments, may be monitored and used by us for reasons of security and for monitoring compliance with office policy. Email monitoring or blocking software may also be used. Please be aware that you have a responsibility to ensure that any email you send to us is within the bounds of the law.

Business Helpers tries to meet the highest standards when collecting and using personal information. For this reason, we take any complaints we receive about this very seriously. We encourage people to bring it to our attention if they think that our collection or use of information is unfair, misleading or inappropriate. We would also welcome any suggestions for improving our procedures.
